If the job ad for entry-level training for sales, marketing, management "sounds too good to be true", be cautious and ask lots of questions during the job interview. Is the job door-to-door sales, commission only, and with no benefits? Will you be an employee or a contractor? Outside sales require driving which means gasoline expense. Are you sure you really want to work on commission pay driving with no mileage reimbursement?

ReplyDeleteThe same thing with Zerin Business Consulting. The position was stated at $30,000/year Base Pay. Only to find later, after I asked the question 30 times, that its commission based, and you would only be considered for the $30,000/year after you work there for 8 months selling Verizon Fios door to door, in which case, the agency would have moved after collecting its demographic data and utilizing the region's potential sales. Marketing my ass. This should be considered as fraud.
