If the job ad for entry-level training for sales, marketing, management "sounds too good to be true", be cautious and ask lots of questions during the job interview. Is the job door-to-door sales, commission only, and with no benefits? Will you be an employee or a contractor? Outside sales require driving which means gasoline expense. Are you sure you really want to work on commission pay driving possibly hundreds of miles a week?

I was checking out a job lead for a company called Pacific Group Associates, SD, Inc. According to their website www.pacificgroupassociatessd.com they started business May 2011. I couldn't find any reviews from current or former employees so I ran their phone number 619-209-5221 through Google and came across this blog. From the descriptions here and what was offered in the employment listng it sounds like San Diego Marketing Group is now known as Pacific Group Associates, SD, Inc.
ReplyDeleteSan Diego Marketing, Inc and The Resolutions Firm, Inc both appear to be out of business as indicated by the non-existence of their websites. Both companies were independently owned and operated Cydcor affiliates sharing the same office.
DeletePacific Group Associates SD, Inc is a new Cydcor affiliate using the same office. Cydcor has long-term leases for the use of their independent licensees. A new entry has been created on this blog for the benefit of new job seekers especially recent college graduates.
I believe http://www.nimarketing.com/ or 'Nu Image Marketing' is their latest disguise. At the very least it seems to be a related and yet to be documented scam in San Diego.
