Beware of attractive, but possibly deceptive job ads which offer entry-level training in management, marketing, and sales especially if the ads state "face to face" and "no experience required". If you decide to interview with such a company, ask many questions before accepting employment. Will you be paid minimum wage, base salary plus commission or 100% commission? Are there company benefits? Beware of invitations for an all-day second "interview".
Do you really want to do door-to-door sales for commission pay with no benefits?

This company is a scam!! It is a pyramid scheme company where you start at the bottom, and help your leader above you. You become a team leader and have new people below you and so forth. They sell fiber optics door to door. This is a pure door to door sales job with no pay, only commission. I went to the first two interviews and did not answer phone calls to be reached for a 3rd interview as I saw this was a scam!
ReplyDeletePat I apologize if there was any confusion about the business. We do handle B2C sales as well as B2B and we are not only full commission we do offer base+ comm. and benefits. We however did not contact you for a 3rd interview seeing as it was not a good fit for you. All jobs should have to start at the bottom and work your way up wouldn't you want people teaching you to have been in your shoes before. We do start in sales and cross train into a management role. Most people that understand business know that sales is the cornerstone to any industry so if you don't know how to do sales it is very tough to run a business. Also, a scam is something where people trick you into doing something. We are very upfront and honest about everything we do so if you have further questions please feel free to reach out to us.
DeleteThank you for taking the time to post. I had major red flags when they kept avoiding my questions and answering in generalized terms. I set an interview for tomorrow to get off the phone. After reading this I have no interest in any further conversations with DGConcepts.
ReplyDeleteThanks again
Thanks for the info, I won't return their call. I don't do sales and I do not have time to waste with a silly "interview".
ReplyDeleteThanks...I made the mistake of posting my resume on Monster, and now am being bothered by nonsense "sales" jobs I have no interest in.
