Beware of attractive, but possibly deceptive job ads which offer entry-level training in management, marketing, and sales especially if the ads state no experience required. If you decide to interview with such a company, ask many questions before accepting employment. Will you be paid minimum wage or commission? Are there company benefits?
People who interview with Cydcor affiliates are told they have the opportunity to be trained for marketing, management, sales, public relations, advertising, human resources so they can open their own office. What the job seekers are not told is that they are trained to open new independently owned Cydcor affiliate offices thus repeating the recruiting cycle.
Beware of invitations for an all-day second "interview". If you decide to go to the second "interview", wear comfortable shoes.

DBC's Location page shows 15 cities including the home office of Troy, MI. Does Detroit Business Consulting really have three offices in Chicago, two offices in Indianapolis, two offices in Grand Rapids, MI, two offices in St. Louis, two offices in Columbus, OH, two offices in Oklahoma City, OH, and two offices in Philadelphia, PA? Does this multi-office plan in the same cities make sense? DBC states they are an outsourced sales and marketing company yet their locations pages look more like that of a fast food restaurant company.
A Google search for "Detroit Business Consulting" found no other listings except for the Troy, Michigan location. If
DBC really has expanded to thirteen other cities then why are the
contact information not provided for the other cities on the Locations
page?
Apparently Cydcor has trained their independent
affiliates so that whenever someone is promoted to start another
independent Cycdor branch office, the expansion offices do not take on
the name of the home office where they were hired and trained, rather
the promoted new branch managers open offices with generic or
meaningless business names.
DBC's FAQ page states the company was established in 2007 yet their website domain name was created on Feb 11, 2010 and a search of the Michigan Secretary of State's website shows Detroit Business Consulting was incorporated on Feb 5, 2010.
