Hill, Inc (Detroit, MI)

Hill, Inc in Troy (Detroit suburb) is an independently owned Cydcor licensee. Beware of attractive, but possibly deceptive job ads which offer entry-level training in management, marketing, and sales especially if the ads state "face to face" and "no experience required".

If you decide to interview with such a company, ask many questions before accepting employment. Will you be paid minimum wage or commission? Are there company benefits? Beware of invitations for an all-day second "interview".

  2. How is this a scam? It sounds like an opportunity. That's like saying flipping burgers is a scam because it will get you nowhere...

  3. Def a skam. If your a legit company you don't interview 50 people a day and have a ad in every paper / online publication all dad everyday. Be prepared to drive your own car for minimum wage well the management reaps all the benefits. If it looks to good to be true ........

  4. This is completely true. I worked for both Darrell Turner of Turner Enterprises, and Rob Hill of Hill Inc. They are not necessarily a "SCAM", but a company that DOES offer opportunity but do not tell you how difficult it is to get to the top. The money is about $200-450/ a week for 6 days of 11am-9pm dyas of work (Office 11am-1pm), then (Door-to-Door 2pm-8pm). Their promise is once you can "sell" enough to be positioned to be a Trainer/ Interviewer, you start building your team. You have to successfully RETAIN 10ppl (the hardest part about the business once ppl start getting mentally-f*cked and ready to quit on you because they dont want to work all day for 6 days with little pay). But Management will only mold your mind around the "bigger picture" and numb yourself to your current problems--they call it a No Excuse Mentality. You wear suits to work everyday to go over the same 5 workshops (something to boost morale about where you work, when actually you're just a door-to-door salesman) It sucked for me but to people who are generaly good with talking to ppl and training, development, and sales, THIS IS A GREAT JOB FOR YOU---becuase you will get promoted to Asst Mgmt in no time and THEY DO MAKE A LOT OF MONEY--that part of the job description is no lie. Managers do get paid nicely and enjoy vacations. Send me a message if you enjoyed my post ronnyc08@gmail.com
