Rocky Mountain Marketing Inc is an independent Cydcor affiliate located in Westminster outside of Denver. There was another Cydcor affiliate using the same company name, Rocky Mountain Marketing Inc, located at 6160 S Syracuse Way #230 Englewood, CO 80111, (303) 220-3430, rockymountainmarketinginc.net.
Beware of deceptive job ads which offer entry-level training in management, marketing, and sales especially if the ads state "face-to-face" sales and no experience required. Beware of the all-day second "interview". If you go to the second "interview" be prepared to wear very comfortable dress shoes. You will be doing lots of walking. Do you really want to do door-to-door sales for commission pay with no benefits? Do you really want to manage a Cydcor affiliate office? Many independent Cydcor offices close within 1-2 years due to deceptive recruiting practices.

Hi Cheryl,
ReplyDeleteI absolutely LOVE what you are doing with this blog. It is helping me out greatly in my job search.
Here is an entry-level job scam in Denver. It is for a dead-end, straight-commission, door-to-door job with a company called Blackstone of Denver. This company somehow actually managed to REMOVE A REVIEW FROM GOOGLE SEARCHES!! http://www.ripoffreport.com/liars/blackstone-of-denver/blackstone-of-denver-deceivin-c4890.htm This is absolutely wrong! If they are scamming job seekers I'm thinking that someone should make it known. Who better than you?
I worked for this company for one month until I couldn't afford my own job any more. Paid for my own car, insurance, phone, mileage, gas (they promised to pay half, but it was a struggle), and the opportunity cost of having a real job. They gave me a crap route a full 50 miles from their office and each day started and ended at the office. I drove three hours per day to do what was required of me and soon realized that the whole thing was a sham when I received a paycheck of $7. That's right. I had to stay late in the office to ask management why my paycheck was late, and when it finally came, it was $7. Commissions were delayed, and the $200 weekly contractual base pay for training never materialized as promised.
ReplyDeleteIn summary, they delay your paycheck, which is already below market compansation, they make you chase it down with your manager, and then it's not even close to correct when you receive it...late. All this without discussing the ridiculous "no sitting" rules during daily morning meetings.
They do business as "Quill" door-to-door office supplies. Don't waste your time here. You're welcome.
I worked for the company for just over two weeks. I was promised the day I was hired $300 weekly and 25% commission of what ever I sold. When I was working there we where trying to get people to change from Comcast cable to Century link cable.I ended up in Longmont many times which is a good three hours from my home. When I went into to confirm that I wanted the $300 per week and 25% commission, I was then told that I had to have a minimum amount of sales that week to receive that, which may I add, was never disclosed to me when I took the job at all. The straw that broke the camels back was that my route for my last week there was in a very crime ridden part of Denver and I was to work that alone, knocking on strangers doors to get them to purchase internet from us.
ReplyDeleteStay away!!! This company has no concern what so ever about your safety as they send you out alone to meet with random strangers. Not a good place to work at all.
You just saved me a lot of time. Thank you!
