Be very cautious of sending your resume to email addresses for companies for which you cannot find their websites or any company information. Remember, whenever you are sending your resume, you are not only telling someone your work history, you are telling them your name, home address, telephone numbers, and education history.

Beware of job ads which states an email address which ends in @executivehrdepartment.com or @careersdept.com.  Think about this, if the people who posted the job ads have websites, then why would they not use email boxes that use their company name such careers@companyname.com or info@companyname.com? Go to executivehrdepartment and careersdept.com and you will notice they both take you to something called "Ownerville".

Do a Google search: @executivehrdepartment.com , @careersdept.com or @webhrdept.com and you will get search results which include job postings for many companies with the words "Management", "Marketing", "Acquisitions" or "And Associates" as part of the company name. The job ads will state they are hiring for entry-level positions and they will train your in management, marketing, customer service, and sales. Some of the ads will say they are looking for "sports-minded" individuals meaning they are looking for people with a winning mindset. Many of these companies are hiring for people to sell DirecTV subscriptions, Home Depot renovations, Victoria Jackson women's cosmetics, or FW-1 waterless carwash sprays. Some job ads will state a guaranteed salary which is really minimum wage if you do not make a certain quota for your commissions.

Look up any of the companies in the Google search results, investigate, and judge for yourself before you send your resume to companies which will not provide their company website, company address or company telephone number in their Craigslist, CareerBuilder or Monster job ads.

Be very cautious before emailing your resume to a job posting which does not provide a company name, street address, telephone number, or website. Beware of job ads which state a very high starting wage for customer service work.

A search of the California Bar Association found no listing for "Anthony Neloms". Why is Anthony Neloms, who states he is an attorney, using an email address such as btrtyax@gmail.com?

Beware of job ads by independent Kirby vacuum distributors. The job ads are deceptive because they state customer service and a starting salary of $2000 per month, but in fact, the distributor is recruiting for door-to-door commission sales to sell very expensive vacuum cleaners.

If the Craiglist job ad does not state a company name and the type of product or service, and you call the advertiser, ask them what is the name of the company, where are they located, what do they sell, does the customer service job require selling. If the job is sales, is the job commission?

Wow stay away from these guys. Such a mind f@#k. They listed an add in craigslist for customer service reps. Earn $2k per month. Lied about everything. In the interview you are told you will be paid every Thursday. That there are 2 shifts something like 9-6 and 12-9. You are told you are only to demo the product (Kirby vacuum) and no sales are required. And also that you will not have to solicit for appointments(knockin g door to door) and that their is 3 days training.

Basically they hold back info when you start and say you will learn more in t
raining. Also you don't get to meet any of the regular staff until you are about 3-4 days into trying to work their. By then it's too late. You have waisted your time and are still hoping your have the opportunity to earn some money. When I finally met some regular staff the oldest lasting veterans were there only about 2 weeks.

What they do is get you all pumped up to make money. After training you come in at 9:00AM and I didn't get off until midnight that night. I know I won't get paid because it turns out you are a contract employee who must do 60 demos in a month. There are no early and late shifts. Everyone comes in early and comes back around midnight.

I never met anyone who actually got paid but did meet someguys who said they were supposed to be getting a big check this coming payday.

It turns out you show up early (9am) for a 2 hour meeting where they try to pump you up with positive attitude. You are not allowed to ask any hard questions because it would look like poor attitude. The owner comes in  And acts like he's generous and like he's throwing bonus money around but it's like $5.00 to people who were able to knock on a door and talk a poor unsuspecting customer into a demo. This is $5.00 to someone who was promised a couple of days ago that you didn't have to solicit or go door to door. You are expected to sell the product and pitch it. Again you were promised in the beginning that all you had to do was demo the machine. And if the customer is interested in the product the team leader comes back and tries to hard sell the vacuum cleaner. We are talking anywhere from $2,500.00 as low as $1,200.00. for the same machine.

Finally, I found out that they hold back your 1st paycheck. I believe it is to see who quits so they get your free labor. Like I said I didn't meet anyone who was there for more than 2 weeks.

Some of the people seem nice. Like the hiring boss and the trainer. But after going through the whole thing I see they know exactly what they are going to do and how they are going to exploit you. They should be ashamed of themselves. They should be upfront about pay and expectations but who would say yes to 14 hour work days 6 days a week without being smooth conned into it. Actually they are all so shady that I'm nervous about writing this review. Since they have my address and email. But I feel that they should at least be reported on Yelp. I don't know / think it there's a government agency that watches out so I feel someone has to put the word out. And I can take good care of myself.

Anyway about day 2 I knew it had to be too good to be true and that something was up. But I needed to earn money and wanted to be strong and try the job. When I did get to finally go do some demos I had to load up into a minivan with 5 other people and drive 2 hours away. Then we got out of the van and we had to go door to door in the rain and cold trying to get someone to let us into their house. Also there's no breaks or stopping to use the rest room.....

By then I was sure it was a sham and just tried to have some fun and make it through the day.

Anyway. Look out. If it seems to good to be true it probably is. Also, I still believe those Kirby vacuum cleaners are the best vacuums out there. It's just incredible what people will do to make money. And I feel sorry for the people trying to work there. They just want to earn an honest dollar but are being exploited ( many are immigrants)  And to be fair Steve (trainer)did make it somewhat bearable because he was pretty entertaining and seemed to imply we were in for "an emotional roller coaster".  I understand he and Gina (hiring boss)are just trying to make a living but that doesn't excuse the way this company exploits people though(Especially the owner Amir Shagashi)  He runs the whole circus.
