Atlantis Consulting, Inc (Las Vegas, NV)

Beware of attractive, but possibly deceptive job ads which offer entry-level training in management, marketing, and sales especially if the ads state no experience required. If you decide to interview with such a company, ask many questions before accepting employment. Will you be paid minimum wage or commission? Are there company benefits?

People who interview with Cydcor affiliates are told they have the opportunity to be trained for marketing, management, sales, public relations, advertising, human resources so they can open their own office. What the job seekers are not told is that they are trained to open new independently owned Cydcor affiliate offices thus repeating the recruiting cycle.

Beware of invitations for an all-day second "interview". If you decide to go to the second "interview", wear comfortable shoes as you will be doing lots of walking trying to sell door-to-door.

  1. I'm all for informing people about job scams, but I have to disagree with this one. There are probably some Cydcor offices that operate in the way you describe, but the people who own each office run independently and can more or less determine their own policies.

Tom owns Atlantis. Speaking from experience, your first interview is about 15 minutes and that is with him. You come back for a second interview with one of his employees and this lasts about an hour. If you're hired, a week or so later you come in for two-hour in-house training on Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday and Thursday you go out on the field with your interviewer, Friday and Saturday with another person, Monday with a third person, and then you're by yourself.

I'm sure that there are people who came into the interview process thinking something totally different from what the job actually is, but there are always these people. The group I was in was never misled about what the job and opportunities were. Once you make 500 in a week, you move up to level 2. Once you have a team of ten people you have trained, level 3. Your team makes 4000 in a week for two weeks, you get your own office. This is what we were all told. The aspect of opening your own independent office is what they sold us on, it was not some surprise. We were always aware of that.

We were never lied to about the door-to-door aspect, either, so I have no idea what this "all day second day interview" is talking about. You are made well aware in the interview process that you are going to be out in the field... and frankly being out in the field isn't bad at all. I had a lady the other day send me away from her house with a grocery bag containing a banana, a cereal bar, a can of nuts, a bag of raisins, and two bottles of water because she said I would need the energy out there. This happens often. The people are nice and the office environment is a great one to work in. I feel sorry for whoever developed this mistaken impression.

    1. Right on Zindagi! This site is just a joke, They spend their time trying to alert the world of scams, sharing information on businesses they basically just dont agree with but never take the time to find out more information on each one.

They hear Cydcor and then all of a sudden it's a scam... I find it interesting that people find this site to be more credible than the BBB or the clients that each office has. I dont even see the profile of this person who runs this blog. What makes them so credible? Like i said, this site is a joke and should just be taken down.

The time spent on researching these companies is time they could have taken to find a job.

      Losers.
