The purpose of this blog is to inform job seekers of deceptive job advertisements, deceptive company websites, and deceptive company practices so they do not waste time and money (transportation costs) going to interviews for door-to-door commission only (or minimum wage plus commission) jobs which were not entirely disclosed on the job ads or during the job interviews.

Entourage Management, Inc (Denver, CO)
Beware of attractive, but possibly deceptive job ads which offer entry-level training in management, marketing, and sales especially if the ads state no experience required. If you decide to interview with such a company, ask many questions before accepting employment. Will you be paid minimum wage or commission? Are there company benefits? Will you be working 5-days a week or 6-days a week?
Are you okay with working for the higher-earned of commission pay or minium wage selling DirecTV subscriptions? Are you okay with working for an independently owned affiliate of Smart Circle?

I would check out six10 marketing out of Newton, Ma. Definitely a "scam job" very similar to alot of the ones I see on here but I didn't find anything about it online. Email me at mackenzie.a.carroll@gmail.com and I'll give you a detailed account of everything that happened there.
ReplyDeleteThis job is NOT a scam but the owner Brian mcGugigan is! I worked here for a while and learned all the systems to get myself promoted in good time. At first i wont lie i wasn't really sure if the job was a fraud or not because i had a place to come to work to every day, and i got paid (even though not well) weekly. Well after MONTHS I realized that it wasnt the job that was the problem (ive since worked in another smart circle office) it was the owner BRIAN MCGUigaN! This creep is an asshole! He yells and curses everyone out but then trys to call you his business partner after. Not only that but he also has never promoted anybody into management like he claims. I was around for over 10months and during the whole thing all i saw was him take the office from people who were better managers than him then promote out their guys after getting Kara and Colin kicked out of the business because of his lies and dictator ways! I still talk to some of them and they hate his guts! He is a liar and a cheat...I caught him and his girlfriend several time messing with my paychecks and the claw back ledger that lindsey keeps but NEVER shows anyone! How are u supposed to pay back money if you dont know how much u owe?!?! He says Lindsey is his executive assistant but he's screwing her and she steals money like crazy from workers! Then when you try to confront them all of a sudden they disappear or are to busy to talk. On top of that Brian is so stuck up her butt that he wont even listen to anything anyone says about how crooked and lousy she is.
ReplyDeleteEven though i had a hell of an experience with Brian at Entourage i must admit that the opportunity in Smart Circle is real but, NOT with Brian Mcguigan managing you. do not work for HIM!!!!!! You're better off working with a much more competent and trustworthy owner! why get treated like crap when u dont have to?
Actuallu you are wrong my name is edward goss and i live in fort myers florida brian mc guigan of smart circle ran a branch of smart circle in the local area i used to wrok for him for a while the money behind the company is very very serious brian mcguigan is not a scammer scam artist or fake please look me up on face book for any questions you may have or e-mail me edwardgoss86@gmail.com

Fast forward 4 weeks. Guess what..... Market is closed. They said they'd make sure that while in transition bills would be paid... Ok so long story short. They want more bodies and more ppl who don't question. He gets a cut from EVERY sale from reps below him. They said just get in the store and sell. It will fix everything. Bullshit. First no phone.
