Beware of attractive, but possibly deceptive job ads which offer entry-level training in management, marketing, and sales especially if the ads state no experience required. If you decide to interview with such a company, ask many questions before accepting employment. Will you be paid minimum wage? Are there company benefits such as health insurance and paid time off?
Do you really want to be a product demonstrator/salesperson trying to get people to buy fudge, car wax, popcorn, cosmetics, or cheese cakes? There is nothing wrong with working a retail job for a small independently owned company, but sure you get all the details about the job and company before you commit time and transportation costs. If the company requires you to have car for the job, it means you will be driving to different stores to demonstrate and sell.

they go by "level 1 marketing" now. same address, same business. the ad is very deceiving and lures on people who are desperate for work.
ReplyDeleteI did an internship with Level 1 Marketing and it was a very positive experience. I learned a ton of skill sets and was actually given the oppurtunity to apply them and get good at them. I feel like everything on this job posting and true to what is involved with the position. As a fellow entry level professional and recent grad, I highly encourage anyone applying for a position with this company to interview if they get invited in and judge for themselves. Snagging interviews in general is not easy as it is with this economy.
ReplyDeleteI worked for them for a while. Only left because I got a job doing what my degree was in. Good opportunity to at least get experience on your resume if you're not looking to be a manager.
